IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR YOUR DOG*?
What exactly is a "Reactive Dog?"
Reactive dogs are actually very common. These are dogs that lunge, bark and/or growl, and become very nervous, anxious and agitated when strangers, moving objects or other dogs get too close. Some behave aggressively and appear to want to bite when on leash, whereas when they are off leash or in their own homes they are fine. When dealing with your dog's reactive behavior it can be both stressful and embarrassing, however there is no longer a need to feel lost and confused by your dog's behavior. This very special class can help you improve and manage your dog's reactive behavior by empowering you with a toolbox of skills and techniques that can prevent bad episodes.
In this 8 week class (1.5 hour orientation without your dog) your dog will not only gain confidence being around other dogs, but will gain more confidence and trust in you as you learn new skills to utilize in these once-stressful situations and you will relax as well knowing what to do and how to avoid or manage the triggers that were once unpredictable. You will learn to read your dog and communicate on a different level.
*This is not a class for aggressive dogs that pose a potential danger to other dogs or people.
