Marnie Montgomery, owner and lead trainer of Joyful Dog LLC, (JOYFUL DOG LLC
www.joyfuldogllc.com) is a certified Tellington TTouch® practitioner, Pat Miller Certified Trainer (PMCT), and Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA).

Marnie first came to the world of dog training and TTouch while searching for ways to help her heart dog with issues of reactivity, impulse control, and an inability to relax. The combination of bodywork and movement which are foundational to TTouch, and the clarity inherent in clicker training and other rewarding techniques, helped him become a delightful companion. Through helping her own dog, Marnie discovered her passion to help other dogs and their people build a great partnership.

Marnie recently authored a series of three guest blogs about TTouch and the Athletic Dog for NOVADog Magazine’s “See Spot Race” event (http://www.novadogmagazine.com/seespotrace/). She co-teaches classes for volunteers at Fairfax County, VA, Animal Shelter, and leads Tellington TTouch®, puppy, basic manners, tricks, and specialty classes in Joyful Dog’s Great Falls and Leesburg locations. Marnie also offers private sessions for Behavior Modification, Basic Manners, and TTouch.

Marnie volunteers at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter in Virginia, supporting their enrichment programs for dogs and cats, and serves on the Board of Directors of Your Dog’s Friend in Rockville, MD.

She is a Peaceable Paws Affiliate, a member of the Tellington TTouch Practitioner Guild, a full member of the Pet Professional Guild, a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Positive Professional Pet Trainers. Marnie holds degrees from the College of William and Mary, and George Mason University.
